Jay Gellar is the Samuel Rosenthal Professor of Judaic Studies at Case Western Reserve University. He is the author of Jews in Post-Holocaust Germany, 1945-1953 (2005) and of The Scholems: A Story of the German-Jewish German-Jewish Bourgeoisie from Emancipation to Destruction (2019).
