Please join the UF Film and Media Studies Program in the Department of English for an artist talk and Q&A with the New York-based duo Gibson + Recoder. While touring their latest 35mm projection performance, The Changeover System, in Jacksonville’s Sleeping Giant Festival 2023, the duo will be making a special trip to Gainesville to give a presentation entitled “The Expanded Cinematic Practice of Gibson + Recoder” on their two-decades collaborative practice working in the field of expanded cinema, incorporating a wide range of media including installation, sculpture, camera obscura, performance, and public art work.
