Shush the Shame: An Intercontinental Journey from Spain to USA

October 20, 2020 @ 6:00 pm

S.H.E Talks is a series of lectures on the experience of women in a diverse range of careers: https://onehealth.ifas.ufl.edu/activities/she-talks/. From women engineers to Museum professionals, we bring together a great variety of women experiences as a form of career mentorship for students. The talks are geared to all types of students, including undergraduates.
Our speakers are women, but the audience is all-inclusive. We cannot ignore our differences, but we can use our differences as a strength to build a just and equal future for all.

Please join us for the first S.H.E. Talks event of Fall semester, next Tuesday, October 20, at 6PM with Paloma Rodríguez, the Director of the Office of Global Learning at the University of Florida International Center. Her research interests include eportfolio pedagogy, career integration, faculty professional development, and on-campus opportunities to promote global learning. Prior to her involvement in International Education, Paloma spent twenty years working as a Humanities and language instructor in Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. She holds an M.A. in Classics from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics (TESOL) from the University of South Florida. She is currently a PhD candidate in Classical Civilization at the University of Florida.

RSVP to Sara Agnelli (saraclassics@ufl.edu) to receive the zoom information.
