Race, Power, and Food (Roundtable)

January 10, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Free

Food is inextricably linked to culture, trade, economics, sovereignty, and well-being.  Good food should be a basic human right.  Join this interdisciplinary dialogue at the intersection of scholarship and food justice with Karen Moskowitz.  Karen leads New Roots, which organizes leadership partnerships to advocate for a just and equitable food system with those most affected by food insecurity in order that all may be nourished.

All students, faculty, staff,  and members of the community are welcome at the roundtable. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to aprizzia@ufl.edu or diedre@ufl.edu by January 7th, 2020.

Sponsored by the UF Levin College of Law, Center for the Study of Race and Race Relations, UF Field & Fork, Center for Latin American Studies.
