Pop-Up Culture
October 13, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Each October organizations throughout the U.S. celebrate culture in America during National Arts & Humanities Month. Coordinated by Americans for the Arts, National Arts & Humanities Month grew out of National Arts Week, which the National Endowment for the Arts and Americans for the Arts started in 1985. The event became a month-long celebration in 1993. This year, several University of Florida (UF) colleges and organizations have partnered to lead the celebration on campus.
Pop-Up Culture is part of UF’s celebration of National Arts & Humanities Month. Join in for an array of activities that will celebrate the arts and humanities at UF. From musical performances to poetry readings and from dancing to opportunities to paint, there’s something for everyone. There will be various moments of culture all aimed to increase awareness, appreciation and excitement for the arts and humanities at UF. Join the conversation online by using #NAHM #ShowYourArt #PopUpCultureUF.
This event is free and open to the public.
