Peace Corps Information Panel

March 3, 2021 @ 5:30 pm

Come join us for a Peace Corps information panel where four panelists will be discussing their sectors and location of service. The U.S. Peace Corps is a 27-month service opportunity that is funded and organized through the U.S. government. Volunteers serve in roughly 60 countries around the world in six different sectors including environment, agriculture, education, health, youth development, and community economic development. People of all ages can apply to be a Peace Corps Volunteer with the three requirements for service being 18 years and older, U.S. citizen, and have an undergraduate degree or five years of equivalent work experience. Peace Corps volunteers receive monetary compensation for their service along with many other benefits including priority federal hiring and possible financial assistance with graduate-level education. A 10-week in-country training is also included in the 27 months of service.
