Negotiating Transitions Film Series – “A Story of Yonosuke”

“Negotiating Transitions,” the 14th Annual Japan Foundation Film Series sponsored by the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures and the Japan Foundation. All films will be shown in Pugh 170, and start at 5:10 pm. The films are free and open to the public. In Japanese, with English subtitles.

(横道世之介 Yokomichi Yonosuke)

Directed by Shuichi Okita, 2013, 160 min.

This comedy-drama follows Yonosuke, a distinctly unpolished guy from a small town in Nagasaki, as he goes to big-city Tokyo to attend college and makes a surprising impact on a variety of people.
