This session will provide practical how-to tips for communicating with your students when lecturing. What does your body language and vocal tone say to your students? Messages can easily be misinterpreted, how can you make sure to communicate what you really intend to?

In this hands-on seminar, participants can practice new physical and vocal habits that will allow you to be an effective communicator. Exercises include exploring the ways we stand, sit, and use our hands and the role these play in effective communication. Attendees are encouraged to lecture for the group and receive suggestions and feedback on how to improve.
