December 1, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

If Neighborhoods Could Talk: Stories from Porters Quarters, Springhill, and Sugarhill will be an afternoon of storytelling at the Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center. Storytellers from each of the three neighborhoods will speak on a specific theme of life commemorating their experiences. A slideshow of photographs illustrating the history of the neighborhoods will also be shown. After the main storytelling portion is completed, four audience members will be chosen at random to also share their stories of life in their own neighborhoods. The stories will be recorded to be used in future exhibits and/or events at the Cotton Club Museum and Cultural Center, and the Gainesville150! digital time capsule.
