Celebration of U.N’s International Day of Women and Girls in Science

February 7, 2019 - February 9, 2019

Upcoming events that are part of a campus-wide weeklong celebration of women and girls in science and include an outreach event, “Talk Science with Her,” at First Magnitude Brewery on February 7th, and on February 9th, a kid-friendly science fair at Depot Park followed by a public lecture of Professor Gabriela González at the Alachua County Headquarters Library in downtown Gainesville. Sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Institute for High Energy Physics and Astrophysics, the UF Office of Diversity, The UF Departments of Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Geology, and Physics, the Biodiversity Institute, and the Center for Gender, Sexualities, and Women’s Studies Research.  Click here for a full schedule of events.
