The Samuel Proctor Oral History Program (SPOHP) invites you to join them on November 17, 2019 to celebrate Gainesville’s sesquicentennial. The Cultural Arts Coalition (CAC) and the Greater Duval Neighborhood Association are hosting this free outdoor event at Lake Pithlachocco / Newnan’s Lake from noon until 5:00 PM at Earl Powers Park, on Hawthorne Road. Come enjoy live music, an art out, historic tours, food trucks, and boat tours of the lake. SPOHP will display one of their recent collaborative projects, A People’s History of Gainesville Timeline, produced by the CAC, SPOHP, and the City of Gainesville.
