2021 Public Humanities Internship Program for Graduate Students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (deadline Monday, March 8, 2021)

The Center is pleased to invite applications by graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences for public humanities internships for the period of Summer A (May 16-June 30) 2021. Interns will work on specific remote projects contributing to the missions of nonprofit organizations across a range of fields. The Center is offering five virtual internships in Summer A 2021 at the University Press of Florida, Oceana, Future of Life Institute, The Archaeological Conservancy, and TeachRock (Rock and Roll Forever Foundation). Each Public Humanities Internship is structured and paid as .50 FTE (20 hours/week) Graduate Assistantships with tuition waivers included for Summer A 2021. Graduate students will expand their professional skills and network while gaining meaningful humanistic work experiences beyond an academic setting. This program is made possible with support from the UF College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Hyatt and Cici Brown Professor of Florida Archaeology (Kenneth E. Sassaman), Rothman Family Chair in the Humanities (Jack Davis), the University Press of Florida, and the Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere (Rothman Endowment).
