The UF Centre for Greek Studies welcomes Chris Carey (Emeritus Professor of Greek, University College London) for this Polopolus Series Spring Lecture.

Chris Carey is one of the world’s leading experts on Athenian democracy, law and politics and one of the most distinguished academics of our times in Classical Studies. He has written substantially on Athenian democracy, law and politics; Greek drama, and Greek Lyric Poetry. His work has shaped research and has been enormously influential in all three areas of his research activity.
