When Gospel Meets Jazz – Museum Fundraiser

The Pleasant Street Historic Society is holding a fundraiser during Black History Month. The funds will be used for the renovation of the Smith-Griffin House, which will be turned into a Black History Museum. The Smith family bought the land the house is on in 1872, and built the home on the land shortly thereafter. The land remained in the Smith family’s hands until Mrs. Griffin’s death.
