This community panel features local experts who address climate change through science education, environmental justice, and local political efforts. After hearing from each speaker, participants will have the opportunity to engage the panelists and each other in a civil discussion about how Gainesville can respond to the challenges posed by climate change. The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.

Panelists: Nkwanda Jah (Cultural Arts Coalition), Jim McFarlane, Marihelen Wheeler (Alachua County Commission), and Anton Kernohan (Climate Action Gators)

Moderator: Alexandra Cenatus, Center for the Humanities and the Public Sphere
