Hunting Hitler’s Hidden Soldiers in the US – Debbie Cenziper

January 23, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Free

New from Pulitzer Prize winning author Debbie Cenziper, Citizen 865: The Hunt for Hitler’s Hidden Soldiers in America chronicles the story of a team of Nazi hunters at the U.S. Department of Justice as they raced against time to expose members of a brutal SS killing force who disappeared in America after World War II. Citizen 865 is a story about darkness but also about light, the pursuit of truth by a team of American Nazi hunters who worked to expose the men behind the most lethal operation in the Holocaust. Cenziper is an American investigative journalist and nonfiction author who now writes for The Washington Post. In 2006, while working as a reporter at the Miami Herald, Cenziper published a series of articles exposing corruption and waste in the Miami-Dade Housing Agency, for which she was awarded the 2007 Pulitzer Prize. She recently co-authored Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality with fellow Washington Post journalist Jim Obergefell. This event is free and open to the public.
